All travellers will need a PCR negative report, which has been taken 72 hours before departure. Then there is a 7-day mandatory quarantine period.

All travellers except for the citizens of India must obtain a visa prior to travelling to Nepal.

The citizens of Bangladesch, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and China can obtain a tourist visa for a stay of up to 30 days in a 1-year period free of charge.

Nepal tourist visa is required for citizens of Switzerland.

To apply for a travel visa to Nepal requires the following documents:

Original passport from entry at least 180 days valid and with two free pages. Printed or already stamped pages do not count.

Two recent 3 x 4 cm coloured photographs.
